Habitat for Humanity volunteers, working together with selected partner families, build modest and affordable houses for families in need. Once the project is identified, the land is provided, and the construction funding sources are confirmed; families are screened based on income level, employment status, and current living situation. Selected families are required to contribute 500 hours of “sweat equity” to help complete their homes.
Volunteers and partner families are invited to work on the job sites on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
