Quilt Project

The Welcome Home Quilt Project

Welcome Home Quilt Project volunteers are helping to build a legacy of caring for Habitat children. Each child moving into a Habitat home receives a custom made quilt, hand crafted with love and support of Habitat volunteers.

The WHQ project is self sustaining through donations, sales from boutique items and a quilt raffle. The group welcomes donations of fabric, thread, sewing notions, and financial support. Quilt raffle tickets may be purchased at the Habitat office or ReStore for $1. each or 10 for $5.

The WHQ work day is the first Tuesday of every month with meetings held at the Village Sewing Center in Coddingtown, Santa Rosa. The Village Sewing Center store sponsors the WHQ Project by providing work space and sewing machines each month.

You do not have to be a quilter to participate in work days. We understand non-quilters have something special to give us as well and we encourage you to join us. Men interested in learning the intricate and detailed art of quilting are encouraged to join us too. We also need volunteers to help sell tickets for our ambassador quilt raffle.

To purchase tickets or to find out how you can become involved in this worthy project, contact the Habitat office or call Darlene Mola at (707) 578-7707 Ext. 104.

We would like to thank our local businesses for their generous support. We hope you will support these companies when possible:
