Meeting the New Housing Challenges –
2017 Hope Builder Breakfast
Thursday, December 7, 2017 – 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM
Emcee: Senator Mike McGuire
Last year, Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County brought together over 200 community leaders, prominent local businesspeople, and Habitat supporters and volunteers for an update on Habitat’s accomplishments and our ambitious goals for the future.
Prior to the fire tragedy, new housing for low- to moderate-income families was already a significant challenge. It is now critical for our community to prioritize rebuilding housing for these same families who have now lost their homes. There is a significant risk that many of these people will be forced to leave Sonoma County permanently due to the lack of available and affordable housing. This likely exodus will make it even more difficult for our community’s businesses, schools, health services, and government services to recruit and keep much-needed employees.
This year, breakfast guests will hear about progress toward accomplishing 2017 goals, and find out how to help rebuild Sonoma County.
This year's list of Sponsors includes:
- First Community Bank
- Kaiser Permanente
- Perry Johnson Miller & Moskowitz
- Sonoma Clean Power
- Umpqua Bank
