Building a Habitat Home

Building a Family Future

With the help of many volunteers and working together with selected partner families, Habitat for Humanity builds modest and affordable houses for families in need. Once a project is identified, the land is provided and the construction funding sources are confirmed. Families are screened based on income level, employment status, and current living situation. Selected families are required to contribute 500 hours of "sweat equity" to help complete their homes.

Volunteers and partner families are invited to work on the job sites on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7:30am to 2:00pm. To register to volunteer, contact our Director of Volunteer Services at volunteer@habitatsoco.org or call 578-7707 x105.
