Volunteers are the backbone of our success in building hope and homes for Sonoma County families in need. We have many different volunteer opportunities available. Construction – Help us build a Habitat Home!
Construction volunteers work alongside our dedicated construction team, our Crew Leader volunteers, and our partner families to help us build Habitat houses. No previous construction skills are expected. We will provide all the tools, training, and safety equipment needed to work on our construction sites. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age to be on a job site.
Construction volunteer opportunities take place from 8am-3pm Wednesday-Friday and Saturday when available.
What to bring to a Job Site
We provide all tools needed to work on our construction site.
For your comfort, the following items are highly recommended:
• Work Gloves
• Water Bottle
• Bag Lunch!

Volunteering at ReStore
ReStore is Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County’s retail outlet where we sell new and used building supplies and furniture to help support our mission. Volunteer opportunities at ReStore include stocking merchandise, customer service, assembling product, inventory management, product testing and retail display. Support Volunteers
There are numerous ways to support Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County beyond the job site or ReStore. Consider joining one of our committees or volunteering in the office! If you’re interested in these unique opportunities, please let us know!
Translation Services: On-call volunteers who are bilingual are needed to translate documents and to translate during meetings and events.
Office Volunteers: Help out in our office with data entry, filing, mailings, and other general office duties. Hours are flexible.
Ambassador Volunteer: Help us spread the word! Volunteers are needed to help with outreach at tabling events and representing Habitat at community events.
