Santa Rosa, CA (April 17, 2020) – Two families receive keys to their new home!
Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County announced today its completion of two new affordable homes in Graton, California. The two-home build project is part of Green Valley Village, a 10-home build project and in partnership with Orin Thiessen of Thiessen homes.
Each family selected for these affordable homes surpassed their 500 hours required sweat equity, are respected citizens in their community, and look forward to providing a safe and secure place for their children to call home. The peace of mind they wished for their families – achieved!
Last November Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County paused its operations in order to reorganize financially and rebuild a future business model moving forward to better serve Sonoma County. Five months later it gives us great pleasure to have completed these two affordable homes for our partner families.
This would not have been possible without the support of our corporate partners. Habitat of Sonoma County would like to thank Thiessen Homes, Poppy Bank, Celebrate Community Partnership, US Bank, PG&E, Wells Fargo Bank, Summit Electric, Walter Hansel Winery, The Roth Armstrong Hayes Foundation, The Heck Foundation, Salesforce, Biagi Brothers, Rabobank, and Relief Wines. We would also like to thank our many hardworking and talented volunteers for helping us cross the finish line. We thank you; and the families thank you!
