Habitat homes are built with 90% volunteer labor. Construction volunteers work alongside our dedicated construction team, our Crew Leader volunteers, and our partner families to help us build Habitat houses. No previous construction skills are expected. We will provide all the tools, training, and safety equipment needed to work on our construction sites. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to be on a job site. Construction volunteer opportunities take place from 7:30am-2:00pm Tuesday-Friday and Saturday when available.
IMPORTANT - Before volunteering on a job site, please take our online safety class "Volunteering on a Habitat for Humanity Job Site" by following this link http://hfhaffiliateinsurance.com/volunteers/ . Once you are on the page click on "Begin Now" and follow the instructions.

Volunteer opportunities at ReStore include stocking merchandise, customer service, assembling product, inventory management, product testing and retail display. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. ReStore volunteer opportunities are available Monday-Saturday from 9am–5pm. For additional details about volunteering, visit our Volunteering at Restore page.

Family Selection Committee

The Family Selection Committee (FSC) is a team of volunteers responsible for helping the Family Services staff determine if a family applicant is qualified to become a partner family with Habitat. The FSC meets once a month to review applications of potential partner families. The committee will conduct interviews, credit checks, and home visits. Once the review process is completed, the Family Selection Committee makes a recommendation to the Board of Directors for final approval of a Habitat partner family.
