Volunteer in Santa Rosa

Do you want to volunteer in Santa Rosa to build hope and homes for Sonoma County families? At Habitat for Humanity, volunteers are the backbone of our success! We have Santa Rosa volunteer opportunities in construction, at ReStore, and as support for the mission. All you have to do is fill out a volunteer application and then sign up for your first shift on our Time Slot Signup calendar. Check out the many ways you can pitch in:

Construction volunteers work side-by-side with our construction team, crew leader volunteers, and partner families to build Habitat houses. You don’t need previous construction experience. We’ll provide all the tools, training, and safety equipment you need. You must be at least 16 years of age and work takes place 8am-3pm Tuesday through Friday and Saturday when needed. We strongly suggest that you bring work gloves, water, and lunch. Make sure you fill out and bring a Volunteer Liability form. And don’t forget to bring energy and enthusiasm. You are helping families secure stable, affordable housing!

ReStore is Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County’s retail outlet where we sell new and used building supplies and furniture. You have to be at least 14 years old to volunteer. You can stock merchandise, assemble products, or work in customer service, inventory management, product testing, and retail display. You can feel great about supporting our mission of improving the lives of families in need by making housing dreams come true!

There are many other ways to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County, such as joining one of our committees or volunteering in the office. We need on-call bilingual volunteers to translate documents and help with communication during meetings and events. You can also help out in our office with data entry, filing, mailings, and other general office duties. Another area of need is outreach at tabling events and representing Habitat at community events.

As you can see, there are countless Santa Rosa volunteer opportunities to build better lives and improve your community! Of course, you can also donate, sponsor, and advocate to help us build solutions for one of the region’s most pressing needs. When you volunteer in Santa Rosa and Sonoma County with Habitat for Humanity you make housing a reality for deserving, local families because every person deserves a safe place to call home!
