About Us

Why ReStore?

All operating profits from ReStore sales support Habitat’s build programs and some items donated to ReStore are used in Habitat homes. While making home improvement affordable for consumers, the store reduces the amount of waste that goes into the landfill.

Every ReStore donation, shopper, and volunteer makes the dream of home ownership more accessible in Sonoma County.

Our Mission

All profits from ReStore sales support the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County- to build strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter in local communities and around the world.

A Brief History of Habitat ReStore

In 2003, Habitat of Sonoma County Board member Jack Blankenship began accepting and reselling leftover or imperfect construction materials with all proceeds going to Habitat. Sonoma County ReStore, the first retail store, was opened in 2006 in a small warehouse in Santa Rosa, California. In 2010, ReStore expanded into a larger location at the corner of Industrial Drive and Piner Road.
